Cromhall diving

Our first proper dive day in the UK this year. Fourteen attended of whom eleven intended diving. Only two divers whimped out at the last minute due to the cold water (3°C). Anna was the heroine being the only person in a semidry suit and completing a 20 minute dive!

Congratulations to those Ocean and Sports Divers that passed their theory test last night. Next step - open water!

Try Dive Evening

We held a successful Try Dive evening with participants trying out the kit in the pool. They seem to particularly enjoy the "dry"session at the pub afterwards where they could meet some of the members and ask questions.

Fantastic Red Sea Trip

We all had a brilliant time on the Red Sea holiday. Turtles, wrecks and dolphins as well as the beautiful reefs. The pod of dolphins on the last day was the largest we've ever seen with 200 or more swimming around and under the boat. Incredible!

First Dives of the Season

Four intrepid members braved the cold waters of Cromhall Quarry today. It just goes to prove that you do have to be mad to join us.

AGM Fun

A great time was had by all who attended the AGM.  Not only did we vote in this year's committee we raised money for the boat fund as well. The best part was Jer's quiz combining questions, ding bats and photos. Next time you are in the pool look out for the boxing gloves!

Courses start

We have started the new year training with both an Ocean Diver and a Sport Diver course running over the next few weeks.

Brrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to our newest Ocean Diver. Will put up with ice and cold water to complete his last two qualifying dives. What a hero. I think the fact that he can now come with us to the Red Sea in March might have something to do with it!

Torbay Weekend

A great time was had on the Torbay weekend. We were based at Babbacombe on Saturday and Brixham on Sunday. Between us we saw cuttlefish, John Dories, many different types of crabs, blennies, wrasse, etc, etc. The B&B were great as always supplying us with cakes, biscuits and cream teas as well as cooking us a meal and letting us hold a quiz on Saturday night. Chris' Harem won! Many thanks to Dave for organising the week end and Jerry for the quiz.
