Change of Pub

Unfortunately the Imp was closed last week and we are unsure if and when it will reopen. In the interim we will use the Steam Crane BS3 1HT (was Bar Salt ) to meet after the pool on a Tuesday night.

Training Day Turnout

We had fifteen people attend the training day last Sunday. Four trainees were introduced to open water and lots of training exercises took place. We also gained a Dive Leader.

Catch up

We have been enjoying our diving so much we forgot about posting news – oops! Here is a quick run down of the highlights over the past couple of months:
A week in El Gouna Red Sea - sun, sea, reef and wrecks
Long week end at Bovisand - James Eagan Layne, Scylla, Mewstone
Week end in Torbay - Babbacombe, Thatchers Rock drift, Brixham Breakwater, Trawler dump

Easter Diving

The weather may not have been good for Portland but it was fine for Vobster on Saturday and fantastic for Cromhall on Monday. The diving season has definitely started!

National Diving and Activity Centre trip

The trip to the National Diving and Activity Centre was blessed with great weather although the water was a tad chilly at 7°C on the surface. Two people completed their dry suit course and another had his first dives with South Bristol Divers.

First dives of 2015

The first dives of the year have taken place with a visit to the NDAC where the water was a balmy 6C. Brrrrr!
