Do you eat seafood?

If you eat seafood go to the supermarkets with the best policies.
Our Supermarket Seafood Survey is out today, and it’s mixed news for the biggest supermarket chains. Sainsbury’s and M&S come joint 1st with the best seafood policies, own brand sourcing, labelling & more. Coop 2nd, Waitrose 3rd. The UK supermarket with highest market share of seafood, Tesco, declined to take part! Also not participating – Asda, Lidl, Aldi and Spar. We say vote with your feet and get your seafood from the supermarkets who did well >http://bit.ly/1icXMFQ

Busy busy busy!

I can't believe it's been 5 months since the last blog. This summer we have had trips to Thurlestone, Paignton, Mount Batton Plymouth, Penzance, Lamorna, Torquay and NDAC. Also Cromhall which has been visited lots of times for training. We have introduced 6 people to the open water and had training for Ocean Diver, Sports Diver and Dive Leader levels. Not to mention the number of Try Dives we have completed. Busy times!

May Bank Holiday

We spent two days in Bovisand and had a quick dive at Brixham on the way back. Lots of diving was done with two of the newer members getting their first dives with us. We also did some boat handling practice and some diver training. Juan completed his Ocean Diver qualification - congratulations!

Pride of Bristol trip to Lundy

Our trip to Lundy on board the Pride of Bristol was a little more exciting than we expected. It started with a wonderful trip down the Avon under the suspension bridge and past historic spots of Bristol. As we moved down the Severn the Force 7 winds caused an agitated sea. So much so that one of the lifeboats thought we had capsized and set itself off! It was later retrieved by the RNLI in Ilfracombe. We were unable to dive but I personally had a great time being allowed to steer the boat part of the way back to Bristol and having a tour of the engine room. Many thanks to the crew.
